Vinton Public Library Red Carpet Fundraiser March 10th, 2024
Join us Sunday, March 10th, 2024 at 5 pm for a Red Carpet Fundraiser at the Vinton Public Library! We will have drinks, appetizers, and movie trivia, along with 2 large screen TVs airing the Academy Awards Red Carpet Arrivals! The event is open to patrons 21+, and we will be accepting free-will donations. We are also selling raffle tickets for a 2-hour limo ride prior to the event, thanks in part to our sponsor Express Limousine Service of North Liberty. Open Craft Night will be held at the Vinton Public Library after hours event for adults!Bring your own craft project to the library, and spend time with others in our community!Everyone is welcome - no craft? Raising School Ready Readers Event Workshop Series begins on January 4th
Invest in your child's future! Learn fun ways to engage children in literacy play and turn everyday experiences into learning activities to help children be ready for school. Families participate together in hands-on activities that support early literacy skills in six areas.Adults and caregivers and children ages 3-6 are welcome! This is a series of five 90-minute workshops.

"Snow Spectacular" event January 5, 2024 All Day
The Benton County 4-H will present "Snow Spectacular" at the Vinton Public Library. Children will learn about blizzards, explore how meteorologists use tools to forecast weather, and help people prepare for severe weather.This event begins at 2:00 p.m. and is perfect for children Kindergarten to 5th Grade and FREE!
Boundary Waters Canoe Area Youth Trek (limited to 5 youths)

Boundary Waters Canoe Area Youth TrekJuly 28 - August 4, 2024; Cost $500/youth (Ages 14-18) - SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLEMANDATORY Training day will be July 18 from 4:30PM-9PM.Participants will explore the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness – the most vast wilderness in the lower 48 states and home to loon, moose, wolves, and black bear- in northeast Minnesota.
